Hey guys, it's been loooong time since I last posted an entry. Hope everyone's doing great, be it the gals in uni and have juz finished their paper and the guys who r fighting so hard to protect the nation. Hahaz. Good luck to the gals, I believe ur will certainly do very well in the exam like ur always do and the guys hold on der juz a little more and soon we'll regain our freedom. Anyway, as usual, whenever I post, it's always abt some gathering or outing.

Adel and I have spent some time raking through our brain, hoping to come up with some fresh and exciting ideas but I reckon things like night cycling is not gonna work coz most likely it's gonna be the guys n adel in the end. Hahaz..So to keep it simple, we'll have a little christmas party in Adel's house. Is dat cool with ur? It's either on 22nd or 29th. U'll probably have received a msg from us by now..plz reply to us which day ur prefer. Take note, plz prepare a gift worth of at least 10 bucks to participate in the thrilling gift-exchanging session. Hahaz..and guys, plz avoid buying things dat maybe offensive to the gals. I'll invite Miss Neo to join in the fun and so I hope most of ur will turn up for this gathering. Dun disappoint the organising committee and more importantly, Miss Neo.

HEY PEOPLE!! :) hmmm i just realised recently that it is the time of A levels again!! it struck me then that TIME REALLY FLIES. it seemed not too long ago that we were all sitting around the class bench, with the true muggers getting all stressed out, and some others attempting to mug (haha). i can almost imagine myself back in the reading room, in a cosy corner with 62 babes sitting around me, all mugging damn hard. the gloom that set upon our class during the A levels period.. the woohoo! after our last exam (for most of us) - chem mcq!!! and now, it's our juniors' turn to experience all these :) JIA YOU JUNIORS!!!
anyway, my point is: LET'S MEET UP SOON S62 (after the girls are done with our exams though) haha GO PLAY BALL???? :D i'm joking, but i wont mind if u ppl are serious abt it :P

haha... i'm not sure how many of you still visit this blog now =D

how have u all been? it's been some time since i last saw many of you... still remember me? yup, we journeyed through econs together during the first 6 months of your life in hwa chong. time really flies... it has been more than two years since this journey!

i guess the girls shld be busy with studies and the guys with army... i'm curious to know what are u all majoring in? anyone majoring in econs besides hui fen? haha :)

as some of u might already know, i'm in my third year in nus majoring in econs (my pet subject). i'm currently on a semester-long exchange at university of toronto, canada. life here is good! if possible try to go on exchange too, it is a worthwhile experience. i'll be travelling to places like montreal and new york after my sem and come back in singapore on 31 dec! excited =D

my turn to update! i'm currently an office girl, working in credit control dept for a jap logistics company in some super ulu corner of changi. it sounds boring, but it's DAMN stressful because i have to bank in cheques and pass giro payments for the company. I've made some ultra stupid mistakes like typing in wrong invoices so company A ends up paying for company B invoices, while its own remains unpaid. some of the mistakes can involve a few thousand bucks! it's so super scary ok :S
and i'm also currently involved in ndp team exco, which is mainly in charge of the NDP ushers. this year they have a name! they are called bay ambassadors :) but the commitment level is really high.. i think i haven seen the com members for only 1 day this week :S oh and i am so lucky to be the deputy oic of the OUTSIDE SECTOR. so while the pple along marina promenade get high from all the songs, performances and fireworks, the poor me along with my oic and ushers will stand OUTSIDE and self entertain -____- i've secretly named it the 'sai gang' team :( the other sectors have nice colours, like ORANGE, RED, GREEN, BLUE. even the esplanade sector sounds better than outside sector right?!?! haha.. so come july sats and on the day itself, u pple can try spotting me running between the 2 entrance points near marina square and (i dont know where) :P

- Class DINNER 6pm
we can meet at somerset mrt station.
is anyone adverse to jap food?
one option is Waraku jap restaurant, its about 20 bucks a set, but each set needs to be shared cos it really is HUGE.

hello everyone!

Hope you guys are all going to the class outing next Sat! I'm looking forward to it.

Ok as Shao suggested, I shall update everyone on what I'm doing now since I haven't seen or spoken to so many of you since.. I can't remember!

I'm working as an intern at a media company called Orbital now and it's in LITTLE INDIA. Haha it's actually quite a nice quaint little corner directly opposite The Civil Service Club where we had our 2nd Fac outing (the limessence one). The downstairs neighbour sells steel bars and the adjacent neighbour sells video production equipment! I'm doing a bit of design and stuff and it's quite interesting, other than the fact that I go home seeing stars everyday from staring at the comp screen :S So if you don't see me online at night, you know why.

I'm also making notebooks and selling them! hohoho. ok everyone go see: http://tablemates.blogspot.com and pass on the website to your friends k? haha.. It's really fun to do though I don't make alot of cash from it. And it's getting increasingly diff to find time to make them cos I'm learning french now (bonjour!) and I'm going to start driving lessons soon :S:S

hieeeeee everyone! :) how are you pple? i'mn typing this from dunman high staff room now! haha.. i'm so bored and i don't feel like reading up for my lessons or marking scripts. the blog is dying again! please post sth when you come by!! :)
i'm so frustrated! grrrrrrr.. just introduced 四大名著to my students and it's so damn discouraging to see their S.T.O.N.E.D faces staring at me, without registering anything at all. sighhh.. sorry to all the teachers who have taught me!! oh man regret for showing such attitude during lessons. and marking their scripts is such a nightmare too! sighhh now i know why teachers like to complain so much about marking our papers. haha..

heh yayan's right! we gotta make this blog more alive again, esp since we don't exactly meet everyday anymore, this is the only way we can mass communicate within our class. heh. so check back often for updates and activities even if you don't post k!

Hrm abt the Christmas party thingy, Ade and I were originally thinking of having one on the 23rd (eve of the eve of xmas). I'm thinking we could have like a gift exchange, and some food, potluck or smthing. Currently, the class fund has about $27 bucks (if dear CS and Jacob would kindly pay the 10 dollars each of class fund tt they still owe) which we could use to get some decent food. HO we could try and cook up something again. Potato salad anyone? Hrm we don't have a venue yet but I think it'll be good if we had someone's house to bunk in at. Don't think any restaurants will have space for so many of us a few days before xmas. K so tell me what u think k? hoho we need some christmas magic :) Oh if we can't get anyone's house, Keevin says we can just go to Cashew Heights (his condo) but tt prob also means we'll just be runnign ard the pool and stuff. no christmas tree! so sad. haha

after much deliberation and consternation yesterday at the "class" dinner to send weizheng offf to tekong, we have come to an agreement to spice up our extremely boring holidays. yayan has kindly offered to book a chalet for us. haha in the first week of january or somethingg.. so whoever is free on that week, pls dun plan something and msg yayan if u can go.. yayan is in charge!

uhhh and naga also enthusictually agreed to lease us his house to host a christmas partayy.. hes gonna be santa claus and will be giving out presents to all who are present :D . and no doubt he will be sneakily hanging mistletoes all around his house, hoping to catch the girls unawares and planting a big fat kiss on them. be careful ppl! BUT all this depends on his ability to find a hot hot Heet date for christmas eve. in any case i think we shld have a christmas partayy.. msg naga if u guys can make it.

It's kinda pain that jc life has officially come to an end. The 2 years we spent together bore witness to many happenings, be it good or bad. So much has come to pass and nothing's quite the same as it started out. Though 2 years isn't exactly a long and enduring one, it's definitely a significant part of my life. Perhaps, we may not even recognise each other on the street in years to come. But something for sure is that I'll miss all of you. I wanna thank you all for making my jc memory a complete and sweet one.

These few months have been a gruelling competition season for many of us. In a competition, there's always ups and downs, joy and sorrow, win and loss etc. But it's important for us to at least take something from the games. And it's even more important for the rest of us who aren't involved to show our encouragement.

As CT rep, I really hope that you guys, as classmates, as friends can show ur utmost support to our class athletes who are fighting so hard for our school. I'm not asking that we have to be down at competition field every competition. The least we can do is to SMS or even better show ourselves at the more important matches. It's pain to see the apathy of our class today when I was looking for supporters.

Today, I've watched how Yu Zhong fought for our school V.ball team. I'm impressed how a WeiQi, previously non-sport person, have improved. His hardwork and effort have certainly paid off. He has now emerged as one a top defensive player for our school. Though the match did not end with a high note, it's good to see how the v.ballers have shown their resilience during the match, for the Championship title, for glory and for the school. Good job Yu Zhong!

Besides Yu Zhong, we've also witnessed how Yayan has done our school proud in the national cross-country championship. It's amazing how much she has improved in a short span of 2 months pluz. Her perseverance and endurance do worth our applause, don't they?

Also, we have our Kong Ba Pau(Keevin) being the lone striker for our school soccer team. He might be 'ba ba' but his agility and shot power, accuracy have definitely been plus points for the team.

Adeline is part of our school table tennis team. Our school team might have lost in the final, but the great performance our school athletes have put up has definitely outshone the glittering gold.

Still to come, we have Naga down at the basketball court, Jacob at the squash court, Adeline at the soccer field, Wei Zheng for the rugby team, Wee Siang for Judo, ChongSheng for Canoe, Samuel for Air rifle and myself for Track n Field. Coming competition meant a lot for us, especially so when this year may be our last year fighting in this sport arena. It'll be good if we know that a class is behind us all the way...

IT's $5 per person which is the result of sourcing for the cheapest most central place for 2 weeks. There's not gonna be a better deal in Singapore! And what's more, you'll get buffet dinner in air con comfort (It's not open air on in a park!?)

Go and support our dear junior class prince and princess, Ming Yi and Ming Kai cos we have to vote to determine the results! Oh and support our jnr Han Lu cos he's performing in the live band 'Not Yet'. There'll be performances by our Athena Idol Tian Cheng and hopefully by Chee Yang as well. Yeow Chin will also be hosting the table games and singing you some sonngss! hoho it's gonna be fun and the perfect opportunity for you to sabo whoever you want to. So go and support Athena! I was so terribly bored and tired of doing complex numbers tutorial 3 that I decided to read our old posts. Hrm you should reread the March section if you have time. We were all saying our goodbyes to each other in case we'd have to leave, and when we realised some of us really did have to leave, it was just plain sad. Anyways, after reading all that sad stuff, I just want to say that I really really looooove everyone of you guys! It officially feels good to be part of 05S62 :) Being in our class just makes me feel like I'm part of a big warm family and I'm just glad it's that way. K jia you people! And hope we will all savour our time together before graduation day comes to take us apart. Ok let's not think about that yet :P pia math tut first! haha

Yaaay! yesterday's campfire night was suuuper fun! haha I thought it was even better than last yr! haha the train thingies were seriously madness la! ok those who have pix must upload k! And the juniors won the inter-fac class item!! omg im so proud of them. I think the whole school's going to remember S62's dance. Hey how's everyone!

I just finished my exams! For those who are clueless, I'm currently majoring in econs and minoring in analytical chem at NUS. I was reading the posts on the class blog and felt tempted to post a message too!

I'm glad to hear that the annual festival of sports had made the class more bonded again. To be honest, I feel that one of the most important things to have in JC is to belong to a united class. It makes you feel you have a stake in your class and in your school as a whole. I was fortunate to belong to a very bonded class (03s71) when I was a student at Hwa Chong. Till today, we still keep in contact and meet up for class outings. Many teachers like our class very much! They remark that they often get a warm feeling when they come to teach our class.

Indeed, life'll be happier and less stressful when members of a class support and encourage one another. Thus, I am elated to read Janice's entry on the recent class outing where you all went to the playgrounds to have fun and so on... Haha I agree that we should relive our childhood once in a while! There's a child in each and every one of us :) May all of you enjoy the class chalet in december ok!

Speaking about movies, have you all gone to watch harry potter yet? Because of my exams I only watched one movie recently - Just Like Heaven starring Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo. Highly recommended! It's a hilarious and heartwarming love comedy. I'm looking forward to Chicken Little which opens on 1 dec! :)

Enjoy the hols! You all have worked hard for the past one year and it's time for a break!

Heeey peeps!
the HOLS R HErE!!! haha! Ok jsut for info's sake, class chalet's on the 21-23 of december and Yayan's helping us book the chalet :) yay thank u yayan! Oh n those who r going but havent paid, remember to pay me the 20 bucks soon k!

Oh for those who missed the most recent and very fun class outing, we didn't go to Ubin in the end! haha ok I shall tell u all about what we did. We met at PL mrt station at 8.30. ok more like I met myself there at 8.30 cos no one else was there on time! haha. ok nvm this time we were all not tooo late :) Then we went over to NTUC to get food to prepare sandwiches and potato salad (aha specialty;) ) Yeah our cart was quite full of healthy food except for the huge block of OLD GOLD cadbury chocolate which is probably the most heavenly chunk of choc u're going to taste from cadbury. And I don't think the cashier lady missed the 2 packs of barney (yes the purple dinosaur) plastic whistles (FOR KIDS) which we were supposedly using incase we got lost in ubin. haha

Haha Naga's kitchen was in a state of turmoil. seriously. hahah there was this time when the eggs were over boiling and we were scrambling around looking for a spoon to get them out of the water. So i asked xiu to grab this spoon I spotted by the sink. Yeah so we were quite successful in getting the eggs out. Then when we were done, naga said, 'please don't use that spoon again.' why? cos it was jsut used for dog food. *faints*

By the time we finished packing the sandwhiches (it was a very messy process courtesy of zh n tian :P) we decided tt we shd just go to ECP cos it was getting damn hot n we were just plain lazy la :P Anyways, cycling in ECP was good fun too! not to mention our very own version of dog n bone which involved the 'bone' reaaally literally being buried in the sand. ok u can imagine the rest. haha

When we were done with that we decided to go hawker centre to have dinner buuuut BUUUT we had tons of obstacles. Yep obstacles in the form of playgrounds! hahaha! Yes we should all get in touch with our youthful side sometimes :P We visited a grand total of FOUR playgrounds! yay. haha that place is full of playgrounds la! Besides the 4 that we went to, we saw at least 3 others and I'm pretty sure there's more we didnt see. haha oh well. We were playing stupid games like the walk on the beam then play scissors paper stone game thingy. haha n the conclusion is tt zh CANNOT BALANCE. hahaha! Then we played catching at another playground and this liek 10 yr old boy came over and asked if he could play with us too. SO CUTE LA! hahaha yeah another conclusion: feng yi is a monkey.

Yep that was class outing. Good fun :) Love u lot! haha! Everyone must go chalet k! It'll be fun! :) heh cya around and enjoy yr hols k! Don't forget to pia yr OP!

FOS has put the class spirit and unity to a test and I believe we have passed it rite? After I have watched how Keevin(Kong Ba Pau) and Yuet Ee strained so hard for a placing in the badminton mixed doubles, how YingHong fought fearlessly against the badminton school team player, how Naga marked down opponent star player in the court, how our BBall girls team stood tall against the two ex-SCGS bballers and of course most importantly how Yu Zhong and Yu Tian led our v.ball team to a third placing, I am proud to be a six-twoer, are you?
Though there was a period of time the class seemed so separated, lessons seemed so dull and going school was like a chore. I hope FOS has pieced our class up and that this period is now over.

It's been nearly a year since 05S62 was born. There're ups and downs over the year. Yes we may never be the best of frenz but hope our friendship can be built stronger over the next year and over the many years to come. (provided I can still wear that ugly brown uniform)

thanks Chongsheng for organising today's class outing!
there was me, jan, ade, yuet ee, fong yi, zuohou, keevin and chongsheng!
we went to sentosa, but jan and i were late cos of some reasons.
then we played volleyball, kicked ball arnd, played in the water and games at the playground!
it was very fun...

Hey s62!

How's everyone? I guess all of you are fervently preparing for the upcoming block tests. I went through grueling block tests in my two years as a Hwa Chongian. Not to forget the promotional and preliminary examinations too! So I can fully understand your anxieties and frustrations because I have journeyed through this before and emerged a stronger person at the end!

Personally I feel that tests and examinations serve not only to test how much and how well we have learnt whatever is required of us in the syllabus. As we all know, life is beyond textbooks, tutorials and lecture notes. Preparing for tests and exams is a lesson in endurance in itself! So as you revise your work, you are building up stamina to face even greater and more demanding challenges in future. This is why I say preparing for tests and exams grooms us into more resilient people.

Feel free to sms me if you guys meet with any problems during revision. I'm not sure if I am ABLE to help you resolve your worries and frustrations, but you can be sure that I am WILLING to lend you a listening ear if you need to confide in someone. (Haha... does this remind you all about ability and willingness to pay in order for demand to be effective? lol...) Of course, I will always be there to address whatever Econs related questions you have to the best of my ability.

heh the holidays have started! wheeeee!! Yep happy for most of you who are probably already out there on a shopping spree (pls spend a few extra dollars on my behalf alright?) or just sitting back and slacking for a while. Well, I'm going to be sianing away at camp for a whole 5 days. Yep so I'll miss you guys and I'll try hard not to miss the shopping :( Yep it's the great Singapore sale now, hit the shops!!

When we got the schedules in the audi, we found out a certain 'mr joe lim' was our teacher in-charge. So me n shao were trying to figure who exactly he was. I was saying, hmm sounds like the teacher who holds CT every week. Then on wednesday, we hopped onto the bus and while we were waiting, Mario got on the bus. Shao said, hmm what's Mario doing on the bus? Yeah I think you get the picture...

Anyway, you should have seen Shao n I trying to get rid of our tan lines in the little pool of sunlight on the last day. 2 out of the 3 days were spent learning all the diff strokes n stuff. Then on the last day, we built a raft and headed out to sea! Sounds a little bit like OBS eh.

It's a pity dat we cancelled the outing. It's kinda sad too. It was cancelled coz of the poor turnout. Actuallie it is not cancelled, juz postponed. We'll haf it tis saturday ok? Maybe we can go Queensway in the day first to look for our class jersey then go marina bay and eat. Hey peeps! Woah this week has been a super sian and tiring week. Bet you're all as relieved as me tt we've finally survived till the weekends! Yep here's congratulating you for getting through this week! Yep my cam's back from the repair man after much procrastination so I hope my dad will trust me to bring it to sch on monday again then we can take pix :) Anyway, I'm quite sad this Sunday's outing cancelled :( Was kinda looking forward to it but nvm it's ok.. aniway as for class outing rite, why not go fly kite (literally) before dinner and go stargazing after dinner at the field opposite zhen fa "LIVE" seafood/superbowl. it seems a bit boring la, sorry (esp for wakeboarders like paul...then again i cant wakeboard)

Hey people! I haven't blogged here for a long time. Hope you guys haven't forgotten me! :)

How's life? Nowadays I seldom get a chance to interact with you all because we have our own lives to lead. I have yet to meet our new friends who recently joined the class. By the way Fong Yi was from 05S33 and I taught him! :) He's a nice and friendly guy. I'm glad that 05S62 is such a close-knit class! May you guys keep the united 05S62 spirit going.

Hmm... all of you must make our new friends feel welcome ok? I believe you all will because you guys strike me as a friendly and fun-loving bunch. Just wanna say that people come and go in our lives. But they leave indelible footprints in our hearts, allowing us to reminisce the good times we shared with them. May these wonderful memories keep us going as we face hurdle after hurdle in our lives!

No one in the class is running for council? Hmm... Why? You guys are shy is it? Haha... :) I watched the council nominees from the Apollo faculty introduce themselves on Thursday. They were so corny! Haha.. I didn't get a chance to watch the nominees from Athena faculty introduce themselves because by the time I reached LT3 the session was over. Looks like Athena fac doesn't have many students running for council!

Yup.. as you can see there's much more to JC life than mugging for tests and exams. May all of you have a fruitful time in Hwa Chong! I enjoyed my two years in Hwa Chone tremendously and I hope all of you will too. Cheers!

hey peeps! Took the bus back with Clara from Beauty World today and we were talking about stuff.. Yeah just realised that my first impressions of many of you were wrong. Glaringly wrong. First impressions can be really misleading. It can blind you to the point that you'll never be able appreciate a person. If I had a second chance, I'd go back and undo all the damage done. Of course, I can't, so I guess I'd have to live without ever knowing how it would have been if I hadn't been wrong about you at the start. Oh well, that's a lesson for me to learn. I'll live with the toll it's taken on me.
